Baby Shower Game Ideas That Give You a Dose of Reality
You are going to love this baby shower game idea. You don't even need to be a mother to get a kick out of this game, all of your guests will have a great time.
Supplies required: - Toy doll about the size of a newborn baby
- 1 piece of rope or string about 5 feet long (You can get this at any craft or hardware store)
- A really small laundry basket. You could also use a fruit basket if you don't have any laundry baskets available.
- 10 baby clothes outfits. These can be given as gifts to the mom-to be right after the game is over.
-1 package of clothing pins (These can be purchased anywhere.)
-A home telephone that works
-A cellular phone
-A timer (A kitchen timer works just fine for this game.)
-A prize for who ever wins the game
Here is how you get started: For this baby shower game idea, each guest gets an opportunity to be the multi-tasking mommy. Two other guests will hold the string between them like a clothesline. The hostess or another person will hand the multi-tasking mommy the baby doll, the clothing basket, and the clothing pins.
The victim, I mean player, will be handed the cell phone while another guest calls her from the other phone to carry on a conversation.
The person on the phone will try asking them certain questions to make them pay attention, such as, 'What was your husband's name again?' or 'What was your first childhood memory?
The mommy will have three minutes to hold the baby, while speaking on the telephone and hanging up the baby clothes. When the timer goes off, she stops. The number of clothes that were hung up are tallied up. If someone drops the baby, they automatically lose.
Each baby shower guest is given a chance to be the multi-tasking mommy, and whoever gets the most pieces of clothing on the clothesline, and can hold the baby while carrying on a great conversation wins the game.
This is one of my favorite baby shower game ideas.
